What is CardX?
CardX™ provides technology that allows businesses to accept credit cards at no cost while remaining in full compliance with existing regulations.
Is this technology compatible with Shopify or other e-Commerce sites?
The Plug’n Pay gateway is compatible with many third party shopping carts. Shopify (and BigCommerce) is no longer supported, but we have a wide range of known compatible options. Start with the list of shopping carts from our website. If you need a more in-depth list or if you are looking for more specialized carts or apps we support, we can work to get that for you. Our Support Team will be happy to help.
How long is the set up process to get my store up and running?
Could be as quick as a few hours depending on how you decide to integrate or use the service. Simplest is to just use the Virtual Terminal on the portal. Just login and you can process a charge. Or it can take weeks if merchant is doing a deep dive into integrating the service into to their own back end software.
Is there 24/7 support?
Yes, we have 24/7 emergency support. Integration support is mostly 8am – 6pm Eastern Standard Time. Are you suited more for big corporate companies, small business owners, or everyone? Any size. We serve hobby businesses up to major corporations.
What is the difference between you and your competitors?
We have very broad connectivity. Most other gateways are certified for only 1 or 2 processors. We are certified to all major US processors as well as some in the EU and Caribbean. For a software developer, it means they only need to integrate to us to be able to support merchants on any processing platform. Merchants then have the freedom to change processors and not worry that the software won’t support it. Our system is very flexible with a wide range of customization capabilities. Our strength is in our customer absorbed pricing models where the cardholder pays for the cost of the credit card transaction through a surcharge or a convenience fee.
